METEORITES - Gao-Guenie, H5 chondrite, Gourounsi, Burkina Faso, Africa
Nice stony meteorites, brownish colored exteriors, flecks of metal exposed when sawn. The metal flecks are bright, steely, and very evenly distributed, the photo only gives a suggestion of what's actually present. Excellent, inexpensive specimens, these fell on March 5, 1960.
I haven't photographed each one, as they all look pretty much the same; the two photos are more or less typical of what you'll be getting. Meteorites aren't exactly noted for their looks, only a very few finds are even slightly attractive. Every mineral collector needs at least one meteorite on the shelf, purely for the jaw-dropping effect it has on non-collectors, who invariably say - "THAT'S a meteorite??!!!" These make out of this world gifts, too! Plus each one comes with it's own cool aluminum display label.
These are bargain prices, only about a buck a gram, shop around, that's low.
Please note that only two are sawn to expose the interior, the rest are as found.
Specify code number when ordering, eg. MET-A).
