BAR9 - BARITE, DOLOMITE, CALCITE, HEMATITE, Alston Moor district, Cumbria, England

A classic thick tabular lustrous pale blue to slightly yellow crystal with micro associates, from just about the most desirable of all barite localities. A small contact at the base on the back  and some essentially invisible damage to the termination detract very little from the charm of the piece.
